Description of the Fenix ARB-L18-3000P battery:
Fenix ARB-L18-3000P is a Li-ion battery of the 18650 form factor, which is characterized by high energy density and low self-discharge, which is about 10% per year. The accessory with a capacity of 3000 mAh is suitable for powering Fenix flashlights and other types of equipment with high energy consumption due to the output power of 3.6 V 14 A.
The battery has a long service life, which is 500 charge/discharge cycles. The absence of a memory effect eliminates the need to discharge the battery before charging. Standard chargers with a current of 1.5 A, but not more than 3.9 A, are suitable for filling the capacity. If the accessory is not used for 3 months or more, it is enough to charge it to 100% once every 3 months to maintain the efficiency of the battery.
The Fenix ARB-L18-3000P anode has a protection board that provides three-level protection against overcharging, overdischarging and overheating during prolonged use. In the event of a short circuit, several holes are provided through which excess gas is discharged to avoid swelling of the battery, a common cause of battery explosion. These holes are located in the upper part of the case and are covered with a protective film that prevents dust and water droplets from entering the structure.
The case measuring 69.1 x 18.7 millimeters is made of durable steel that protects the battery from damage in the event of impact and mechanical stress. The weight of the battery is 48 grams.
