In addition to the fact that the Opticron Discovery WP PC MG 10x42 WP (30459) binoculars are the most compact among their kind, they are equipped with large comfortable eyepieces that provide a decent field of view along the horizon and an incredibly short minimum focusing distance of only 1.5 meters, which allows you to see even the ground under your feet. The image quality is facilitated by the phase-correcting coating of the prisms and the full multilayer coating of all optical surfaces.
The optics are placed in a very durable and fairly lightweight magnesium housing, which is traditionally distinguished by high assembly quality, which does not allow the slightest backlash of mechanical components. The binoculars are sealed according to the IPX7 class, which allows them to be submerged under water at a depth of 1 meter for up to half an hour without any damage to the optics, and the device is filled with inert nitrogen from the inside, which prevents fogging of the optics from the inside and the accumulation of internal condensate during sudden temperature changes.
The lens and eyepiece covers are made of soft rubber and fit snugly, in addition, the lens covers are attached to the binocular tubes with rubber bands, which prevents their loss and allows you to use the binoculars quickly and effectively. The neck strap is made of neoprene - a dense and soft hypoallergenic material, wear-resistant and does not absorb moisture.
