When you need reliable binoculars with decent optical characteristics at a reasonable price - Opticron Oregon 4 PC Oasis is one of the most suitable options. Like every high-quality binoculars with a rotating Roof prism system, this model is equipped with prisms with phase correction and the patented Oasis-C+ reflective coating. Despite the fact that the lenses use standard achromatic lens bonding, the glass grades are selected so carefully that the level of chromatic aberrations (color distortions) meets the standards of binoculars with low dispersion ED glass lenses. Observation comfort is also achieved through the use of very wide 21 mm eyepieces, which provide a minimum focusing distance of 2.3 meters.
Dielectric coating of prisms Oasis Prism Coating — This is a proprietary 64-layer coating that is applied to the reflective surface of each Roof prism. Compared to cheaper silver coating (Ag coating) or budget aluminum coating (Al coating), it provides more than 99% reflection of light from the surface in a wider spectrum, which provides a noticeable increase in brightness and clarity.
The assembly of the Oregon 4 PC Oasis 10x42 WP binoculars, as is customary for all Opticron optical devices, is carried out at a high level and does not allow the slightest backlash of mechanical components. The binoculars are sealed according to the IPX7 class, which allows them to be submerged under water at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes without any damage to the optics, and the inside of the device is filled with inert nitrogen, which eliminates internal fogging and condensation during sudden temperature changes.
The lens and eyepiece covers are made of soft rubber and fit snugly, in addition, the lens covers are attached to the binocular tubes with rubber bands, which prevents their loss and allows you to use the binoculars quickly and effectively. The neck strap is made of neoprene - a dense and soft hypoallergenic material that does not absorb moisture and is wear-resistant.
