The advantages of the Opticron Oregon Observation series of binoculars lie in the optical scheme, build quality and materials. Outwardly similar to typical astronomical models of the classic Porro scheme, the Opticron Oregon Observation binoculars have full multi-layered illumination of the optics in green tones, wide 23 mm glasses, prisms made of high-quality BAK4 optical glass, the absence of any backlash and a 5-year warranty, which distinguishes them from the mass segment and refers to high-quality optical instruments.
The operation of the Opticron Oregon Observation 15x70 binoculars leaves only pleasant impressions. The focus wheel rotates smoothly without jerks, moving both glasses evenly without skewing. The right eyepiece with a diopter correction mechanism rotates moderately tight, eliminating accidental adjustment. Binoculars have significant magnification and a large objective lens diameter, which makes them large in size and weight. However, the ability to attach a tripod adapter allows for mounting on a tripod and use for astronomical observations or observations of objects at a distance of more than 2 kilometers.
The lens and eyepiece covers are made of soft rubber and fit snugly, additionally the lens covers are attached to the binocular tubes with rubber straps, which prevents their loss and allows you to use the binoculars quickly and efficiently.
