The advantages of the Opticron Oregon Observation series of binoculars lie in the optical scheme, build quality and materials. Outwardly similar to typical astronomical models of the classic Porro scheme, the Opticron Oregon Observation binoculars have full multi-layered illumination of the optics in green-violet tones, wide 23 mm glasses, prisms made of high-quality BAK4 optical glass, the absence of any backlash and a 5-year warranty, which distinguishes them from the mass segment and refers to high-quality optical instruments.
The operation of the Opticron Oregon Observation 20x80 binoculars leaves only pleasant impressions. The focus wheel rotates smoothly without jerks, moving both glasses evenly without skewing. The right eyepiece with a diopter correction mechanism rotates moderately tight, eliminating accidental adjustment. The binoculars have a significant magnification and a large diameter of the lenses, which is why they are large in size and weight. However, the presence of a tripod adapter allows them to be mounted on a tripod and used for astronomical observations or observations of objects at a distance of more than 3 kilometers.
The lens and eyepiece covers are made of soft rubber and fit snugly. A special semi-rigid case with additional soft inserts reliably protects the binoculars and prevents them from accidentally falling out even from an open case.
