The Pentax 10x25 UCF XII binoculars feature an innovative housing design in which the lenses are fixed in the housing and the eyepieces are mounted on a synchronized two-axis mechanism, ensuring their symmetrical position relative to the central axis of the optics when adjusting the interpupillary distance. The 25 mm objective lenses are fully multi-coated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission for the brightest images. Aspherical lenses virtually eliminate distortion, especially at the edges, and correct lens astigmatism, which can interfere with sharp focusing.
The binoculars are designed for easy carrying and storage, with a lightweight polycarbonate housing reinforced with fiberglass that is resistant to corrosion and impact. The body material is also resistant to temperature changes, which allows the binoculars to be used in extreme climatic conditions, while reducing expansion and contraction that can be caused by strong temperature fluctuations, which over time can lead to a violation of the collimation of optical components.
