HOYA ED Glass. The lenses of these binoculars use low-dispersion ED glass HOYA made in Japan. HOYA has been known for over 70 years as a manufacturer of optical glasses of exceptional quality. The refractive index of HOYA low-dispersion glasses is extremely low and does not depend on the length of the light wave. All waves of the light spectrum are refracted at the same angle, which achieves minimal light scattering and eliminates chromatic aberration (color distortion).

Advanced MultiGuard® Coatings. Seven layers of the most technologically advanced anti-reflective coating are applied to each optical surface. The coating provides a high level of light transmission of the optical system and unsurpassed natural color reproduction. Additionally, a super-strong hydrophobic membrane is applied to the outer surface of the lenses and glasses, which protects against scratches, prevents water from accumulating on the lenses and contamination with oils.

SK15 Prism. Significant light losses in a rotating prism system occur regardless of its design. The use of SK15 optical glass with a high refractive index and a high Abbe number will minimize light losses, largely avoiding unwanted internal reflection and light scattering in the prisms. SK15 glass prisms are used exclusively in premium binocular models from a limited number of manufacturers.

Phase Correction. The use of a multilayer phase-correcting coating on prisms is now the standard for high-quality binoculars with a rotating Roof prism design. When passing through such a prism system, light is reflected from opposite sides of the prism, polarized, and a shift of half the phase of the light wave occurs, which entails a loss of contrast. The thinnest phase-correcting coating applied to one of the prism surfaces combines the phases, providing high resolution and image contrast.

Dielectric Coating. Dielectric multilayer high-reflective coating is used exclusively in optical devices with a rotating Roof prism design of the Schmidt-Pehan system. One of the surfaces of the Roof prism system does not have total internal reflection. It is on this surface that the reflective coating must be applied. Dielectric coating, unlike aluminum or silver coating, has almost 100% reflective properties, provides high light transmission, natural color rendering, and is used exclusively in premium optics.

Waterproof & fogproof. These binoculars have an IPX7 water resistance rating and are also protected from internal condensation. The housing is sealed with a rubber O-ring, which allows the binoculars to be submerged for up to 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter without letting moisture in. From the internal volume of the housing, the air and water vapor contained in it are displaced by nitrogen N2, which does not form condensate on the internal surfaces of the optics during a sharp temperature drop.

Large field of view. Convenience, efficiency and exciting impressions of observing through binoculars largely depend on the field of view (angle of view) of the optical device. The larger the field of view (the wider the angle of view), the more space is visible. The field of view of these binoculars is above the average of similar models and refers these binoculars to optical devices of a higher class.

Outstanding near focus. Most users use binoculars only to observe distant objects. But not everyone knows that the best examples of binoculars provide significant opportunities for macro observations. Center locking diopter. The diopter correction mechanism in these binoculars has a non-standard central location. This allows for more precise adjustments without affecting the mechanism when turning the eyepiece, as is often the case with standard placement on the eyepiece. Moreover, the mechanism has a locking mechanism that ensures that the settings will not be accidentally shifted.
