The Fenix LR80R flashlight is a very bright, compact device for performing search operations. Its maximum luminous flux reaches 18 thousand lumens, while the beam range is over a kilometer. Excellent opportunities for practical tasks. Such a powerful flashlight operates on a 7.2 V/12000mah Li-ion battery, which is built directly into the model body. The battery is characterized by quite high performance, and without charging the flashlight is able to shine for 25 days. This helps to perform tasks that require high efficiency.

6 Luminus SST70 LEDs with a service life of up to 50 thousand hours are used here. Charging via USB Type-C allows you to charge the battery quite quickly, in 4 hours. Two groups of flashlight operating modes are available, and they are controlled by two buttons. A convenient removable handle is provided for carrying the Fenix LR80R. And to prevent overheating with such powerful lighting, the model has an option to reduce the brightness when working at close distances.

Model control

The main switch is on the right, it is needed to turn the flashlight on or off, select the mode, and also to instantly switch to the «Turbo» mode in the «maximum» group. The left switch is needed to turn the flashlight on and off, select the mode and, if necessary, activate «SOS» and «Strobe» signals.

A total of 10 different modes are available in the flashlight. They are divided into two groups, each of which is controlled by a separate switch.

Group of maximum modes.

• Turbo. The maximum brightness of the light - reaches 18 thousand lumens, the duration of the glow in this mode is two hours, the operating distance is 1130 meters. The intensity of the luminous flux: 318 thousand candelas.
• Maximum. The luminous flux is 12,000 lumens, the lighting distance is 920 meters, the operating time is 2 hours and 15 minutes. The intensity of the flux: 211,700 candelas.
• Average. The luminous flux: 6,000 lumens. The beam range is 650 meters, and the operating time is 2 hours and 50 minutes. Light intensity: 105,000 candelas.
• Minimum. The luminous flux is 3,000 lumens, the range reaches 465 meters, and the operating time in this mode is 5 hours and 10 minutes. Intensity: 54,000 candelas.

Group of minimum modes.

• Maximum. The luminous flux reaches 1,000 lumens, the range reaches 265 meters, and the operating time in this mode is 15 hours and 40 minutes. Light intensity: 17,750 candelas.
• Average. The brightness corresponds to 450 lumens, the beam distance is 175 meters, and the operating time in this mode is 39 hours. Flux intensity: 7550 candelas.
• Minimal. Brightness - 150 lumens, range reaches 105 meters, and operating time - 92 hours. Lighting intensity: 2700 candelas.
• Eco. Brightness - 50 lumens, beam range - 50 meters, duration of glow - 300 hours. Flux intensity reaches 590 candelas.
• Strobe. Brightness - 6000 lumens.
• SOS. Luminous flux - 150 lumens.

The operating parameters of the model were obtained during experiments, under the following conditions: using a 7.2 V/12000mah Li-ion battery, a temperature of 21 +- 3 degrees Celsius and air humidity of about 50-80 percent. Actual brightness may vary depending on environmental conditions.

Battery charge indicator: When the flashlight is off, press any switch once to check the battery charge. The charge level will be displayed for three seconds. If all five indicators are blue, it means that the charge level is between 80 and 100 percent. If four indicators are blue, it means that the charge level has dropped to 60-80 percent. Three blue indicators show that the charge level reaches 40-60 percent. Two blue indicators mean that the charge level is 20-40 percent, and finally, one glowing blue indicator shows that the charge is 0-20 percent.

Physical parameters of the model

The flashlight body is made of durable aluminum alloy A6061-T6. There is a premium hard anodizing of the third type, resistant to abrasives. The model is well protected from moisture and dust, IP68 standard. Easily tolerates a fall from a height of one meter without damage. The dimensions of the model are 259*108*54 millimeters. It weighs 1636 grams, including the weight of the battery.
