Description of the Fenix PD25 Cree XP-L flashlight:
The light circuit of the Fenix PD25 flashlight uses a modern diode of American origin. This is XP-L from Cree — a leading manufacturer of powerful, durable semiconductor light sources. The Cree XP-L operating potential is 50,000 hours. To maintain stable operation of the flashlight, you will need only one 16340 format battery. In addition, you can use CR123A batteries of the same size. The operating parameters of the flashlight vary slightly depending on the type of battery selected by the user. As a result of testing at the Fenix factory, the following battery parameters were determined:
- Turbo mode: light output 550 lumens, 35 min of operation before the battery is discharged;
- High mode: light output 150 lumens, 2 h. 25 min of operation before the battery is discharged;
- Mid mode: light output 50 lumens, 7 h. 10 min of operation before the battery is discharged;
- Low mode: light output 5 lumens, 53 h. work until the battery is discharged;
- Strobe mode: intense flashes with a brightness of 550 lumens.
If a battery is installed in the flashlight as a power source, its operating capabilities will be as follows:
- Turbo: beam brightness 550 lumens, discharge time in the current mode - 35 min;
- High: beam brightness 150 lumens, discharge time in the current mode - 2 h. 25 min;
- Mid: beam brightness 50 lumens, discharge time in the current mode 7 h 10 min;
- Low: beam brightness 5 lumens, discharge time in the current mode 53 h;
- Strobe: signal brightness 550 lumens.
Due to its small size, the Fenix PD25 flashlight easily fits in your pocket. And the high level of durability allows you not to worry about its performance in suburban conditions. The mechanisms of the flashlight are protected from overheating, short circuit. The brightness of the light in the selected mode is maintained at a constant level by a special driver, and the built-in indicator will warn that the battery charge is exhausted. At the mechanical level, the Fenix PD25 model is also well protected. The flashlight case is made of metal with anodized surface, its parts fit tightly to each other. Fenix PD25 meets the requirements of the international standard IPX-8. It assumes that the flashlight will not fail after falling from a height of 1 m onto a stone and continues to work properly after being submerged for half an hour at 2 m underwater.

Instructions for use: Fenix PD25 is designed to work with compact batteries of two types: CR123A batteries (lithium), 16340 batteries (Li-ion). The battery compartment is made for one battery and has a marking that takes into account the polarity of the battery.
Two buttons are used to fully control the flashlight. Their functionality is divided in such a way that the end button is responsible for turning on, and the side button is responsible for control. If you plan to use the flashlight for a long time, press the button on the side until it clicks. If you want to turn on the light instantly, but not for a long time, press the button partially and hold it (the flashlight will turn off immediately after you release the button).
When the Fenix PD25 is on, short clicks on the side button will help you select the desired brightness mode in the order Turbo-Low-Mid-High. Strobe mode is selected by a longer press — 0.8 s.
