Description of the Fenix PD36 flashlight:
The Fenix PD36R flashlight is designed to provide its owner with high-quality bright lighting in any conditions when it may be needed. It is suitable for hiking and traveling in extreme conditions, performing production tasks, protecting the territory or performing repair work with additional lighting. In order to offer the optimal type of lighting in each situation, the flashlight is programmed for 6 modes. 1 of them is designed for signaling, and the others are different brightness levels.
- Turbo: beam range - 283 m, battery life - 2 h 50 min, brightness - 1600 lm, intensity - 19977 cd.
- High: beam range - 197 m, battery life - 5 h 49 min, brightness - 800 lm, intensity - 9636 cd.
- Med: beam range - 128 m, battery life - 8 h 24 min, brightness - 350 lm, intensity - 4101 cd.
- Low: beam range - 82 m, battery life - 26, brightness - 150 lm, intensity-1681 cd.
- Eco: beam range - 35 m, battery life - 115, brightness - 30 lm, intensity - 309 cd.
- Strobe: brightness - 1600 lm.
To prevent the flashlight from overheating during operation in high brightness modes, manufacturers installed a special controller in it. It reduces the brightness of the Turbo mode to 550 lm and the High mode to 450 lm 15 minutes after they are turned on. The restriction is imposed for 15 minutes so that the diode cools down during this time. If necessary, the specified modes can be turned on again with their original brightness, without waiting for the restriction to be removed. But this can lead to overheating of the LED and a reduction in its service life.
All control functions are assigned to 2 buttons on the Fenix PD36R case. The one in the tail turns on the light in instant access mode when partially pressed or in constant mode when fully pressed. The button in the main part is programmed to switch modes.
Long-term autonomous operation of the Fenix PD36R flashlight is provided by a 5000 mAh battery. This is a branded high-quality battery, the resource of which is enough to work for 500 charge-discharge cycles. The user can recharge it even in camping conditions. To do this, the flashlight must be connected to a power bank via a USB type-C cable, which is also included.
Every time the light is turned on, the charge indicator lights up. This function allows you to freely navigate how much time is left to use the Fenix PD36R flashlight in different brightness modes before discharge. If the green light turns on and glows evenly, the charge is 100% -75%. If this light is blinking, the charge level is 75% -50%. If the red light is on and glows evenly, the charge level is 50% -25%. If the red light is only blinking, the charge level is below 25% and it is time to charge the battery. The charging time for a completely discharged battery is 4 hours.
The reliability of the Fenix PD36R is largely ensured by the sturdy body of this flashlight. The material for it was an aluminum alloy that is resistant to oxidation. The shell is well protected from water. This quality meets the strictest standard according to the international system - IP-68, which allows you to turn on the light even under water (but not deeper than 2 m and not longer than 30 minutes). The flashlight is sold with a lanyard, which provides additional insurance against its accidental fall during use, and with a cover that protects it from dirt.
