Description of the Fenix TK16 V2.0 LUMINUS SST70:
The TK16 V2.0 under-barrel flashlight is compact and lightweight with high power. It works with an advanced APF system developed in Fenix laboratories to increase the efficiency of the flashlights. It was the APF system that allowed us to bypass the current limitations of traditional switching systems and achieve a brightness of 3100 lumens.
LED and its power supply
The reliable and durable Luminus SST 70 with a service life of 50,000 hours is used as an LED. There is protection against overheating - it is triggered when the brightest mode is used for a long time and the temperature rises to 60 degrees Celsius. After cooling, you can return to turbo mode. One 21700 battery (voltage 3.6 V) is enough to operate the diode. The battery of the required type is included in the package. This is the Fenix ARB-L21-5000, which will ensure long hours of operation of the flashlight.
Design and materials
The LED is located behind a glass lens. The glass is ultra-clear, with an anti-reflective coating. The lens is protected by a striking edge - a kind of steel crown. It contains tungsten, which increases the strength of the alloy. The striking edge can even be used to break glass.
The body itself is made of aircraft aluminum alloy (A6061-T6), which has undergone special anodizing treatment. This procedure is designed to increase the strength of aluminum. The result is a hard but lightweight material that is resistant to chips and scratches. The flashlight is also reliably protected from moisture, protection class - IP68. This means that it is not afraid of any rain or snowfall. And even when completely immersed in a body of water, the flashlight will work.
Operating modes
This model has 5 brightness modes, plus a flickering strobe mode. The latter allows you to temporarily disorient the enemy. It is turned on with a smaller button on the tail of the body. You can also use it to switch between modes. The large button (tactical) is designed to silently turn on the backlight (light when pressed) and regular lighting (pressing with a click). So, you can instantly turn on the desired mode, use the silent backlight.
Functionality
To make the flashlight even more practical and functional, you can use special Fenix accessories. For example, a button for remote control of modes - AER-5. Using the ALG-05 mount, you can conveniently place this button on the rifle fore-end, and the ALG-00 mount will securely fix the flashlight itself. You can also use AOF-M (color) and AOT-M (signal) filters.
