Description of the Fenix TK22R hand-held flashlight:

Law enforcement officers need special lighting devices that can not only brightly illuminate objects at different distances, but also withstand extreme operating conditions. The Fenix TK22R flashlight was developed for such situations, aimed at use in tactical and service tasks, when the success of the mission being performed depends on the reliability of the lighting source.

The lighting characteristics of the model are impressive: its maximum brightness is 3200 lumens, and the beam range reaches almost half a kilometer (480 meters). The cold white beam (6500K), which is generated by the Luminus SST70 LED, is suitable for spot lighting of a small area, which is also facilitated by the smooth metal reflector.

The flashlight is compatible with many branded accessories that expand the functionality of the device and increase ease of use. Among them: mount ALG-00, ALG-15, ALG-16, remote tactical button AER-05 V2.0, mount for remote button ALG-05 and ALG-06, diffusion filter AOD-M, light filter AOF-L, signal baton AOT-L.

Taking into account the possibility of fixing the model on a weapon, it provides protection against recoil during a shot, so the flashlight can also be used as a hunting one.

Operating modes

The interface includes 2 groups of modes: tactical with two light options and service with four modes. The strobe is also included in the list. With this mode, you can instantly disorient the enemy, and in ordinary situations — give light signals.

Tactical group

• Turbo: 3200 lm – 57,400 cd – 480 meters – 2 hours 15 minutes;
• Strobe: 3200 lm.

Service group

• Turbo: 3200 lm – 57,400 cd – 480 meters – 2 hours 15 minutes;
• High:1000 lm – 17,400 cd – 265 meters – 2 hours 35 minutes;
• Medium: 350 lm – 6000 cd – 155 meters – 7 hours 45 minutes;
• Low: 30 lm – 505 cd – 45 meters – 50 hours.

Important!The calculation of the operating time in Turbo mode was carried out taking into account the duration of the flashlight's glow in less bright modes. They are switched on in order from High to Low when the temperature of the internal electronics reaches ≥60°C and the overheating protection is activated.

Control features

The Fenix TK22R has a tactical type of control, in which the buttons are not located on the side of the case, but in its tail. This model has two switches: a rotating FlexiSensa and a round standard one, designed for instant activation of the light.

• Instant activation of lighting: pressing the tactical switch. If you release the button, the light will go out.
• Turning on/off the constant light:Press the tactical switch all the way in.
• Selecting a mode group: Rotate the FlexiSensa switch.
• Changing the mode:Press the tactical switch after selecting the mode group. In the tactical group, the modes change in the following order: Turbo → Strobe. In the service group, the modes are arranged in the following order: Low → Medium → High → Turbo.
• Locking the flashlight:Rotate the FlexiSensa switch to the position marked with a closed lock. After selecting a mode group, the flashlight will automatically unlock.

Important!The flashlight has a memory of the last mode that works for all light options. When the model is turned on again, the mode used before it was turned off is activated.

Power source

The heart of the flashlight is the ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery, which is included in the kit. But it can be replaced with another 21700 standard battery of the company's production: ARB-L21-5000U or ARB-L21-4000P.

The manufacturer has supplemented the design with a hidden USB Type-C port for charging the battery. To access the port, you need to unscrew the lower part of the housing head, which acts as a protection against dirt and moisture.

The average battery charging time is 3.5 hours. To further monitor the amount of charge remaining, you can use the LED indicator, which turns on for 3 seconds each time the device is activated:

• Green (steady): 100% - 85%;
• Green (flashing): 85% - 50%;
• Red (steady): 50% - 25%;
• Red (flashing): 25% - 1%.

Attention! It is forbidden to use 18650, CR123A and 16340 batteries to power the flashlight.

Physical parameters

The Fenix TK22R is almost entirely made of A6061-T6 aluminum. The exception is a steel bezel with an addition in the form of three tungsten steel tips that are not afraid of shock loads and can replace broken glass. Aluminum is treated with the NA III hard anodizing method, so the metal is immune to oxidation and other manifestations of the corrosion process.

The design retains its integrity, and the internal electronics - operability even in the event of a fall from a height of 1 meter or immersion in water, which is proven by the IP68 protection standard.

Model dimensions: 158 mm (length) x 40 mm (head diameter) x 25.4 mm (tail diameter). It can be worn in different ways: attached to clothing using a removable clip or fixed on a belt using a branded case. Moreover, the flashlight weighs 218 grams, which is minimally felt during transportation.
