Description of the Fenix E-STAR self-powered hand-held flashlight
The Fenix E-STAR model flashlight is a portable self-powered device for emergencies, including areas without stable power supply and areas affected by natural disasters.
It can be used as PSK / BOB equipment, and it can also be used as a backup flashlight for long outdoor activities. Fenix E-STAR has four different brightness levels. Medium and low modes can work without interruption when manually pressing the handle. High and Turbo modes are designed to provide better lighting when using a battery.
You can use the model while charging, pressing one hand is enough to generate energy, which is convenient even during prolonged use. Another power source comes from the included Ni-MH battery with low self-discharge, a regular AA battery is also suitable. The flashlight supports USB Type-C charging with a built-in supercapacitor.
Lighting is provided by high-quality white light diodes that meet IES LM-80 standards, with a service life of 50,000 hours. Brightness - 100 lumens with a beam distance of 40 meters. High-quality optical polycarbonate lens effectively reduces light loss. The flashlight is made of engineering ABS plastic in accordance with ergonomic industrial design.

Controls
Remove the insulating gasket from the battery compartment cover for first use. Slide the rectangular switch forward to turn on the light, slide it back to turn off the light. To select the light mode: with the light on, press the square switch once - this will allow you to move between the levels Low - Med - High. Press and hold the square switch for half a second to activate Turbo mode. If you release it, the lighting will return to the previously used mode.
There is no intelligent memory circuit here, so each time you turn it on again, the model will start in low brightness mode.
To lock the flashlight: slide the rear switch to the lock position to lock. Slide this switch to the unlock position and the flashlight will unlock. After unlocking, press the handle to turn off the light or charge the battery.
Brightness modes
Turbo. The brightness of the lighting reaches 100 lumens, the beam distance is 40 meters, and the flux intensity is 400 candela. High: the luminous flux reaches 20 lumens, the distance is up to 18 meters, the flashlight shines in this mode for 10 hours. The flux intensity is 81 candela. Med: light brightness - 3 lumens, operating time - 60 hours, beam distance - 7 meters, flux intensity is 13 candela. Low: light brightness - 1 lumen, glow duration - 120 hours, distance - 4 meters, intensity - 4 candela.
These characteristics are based on the results of experiments that Fenix conducted using a Ni-MH 1300mAh battery at an air temperature of 21 +- 3 degrees and humidity of 50% -80%. The actual parameters of the model's glow may differ from those given depending on external conditions and the battery used.
Charge level indication: the indicator will glow red during charging and will turn green when the battery is charged. The model is protected from overheating of the case - if the temperature reaches the limit, the brightness automatically decreases. This applies to the high mode - Turbo. If necessary, you can enter this mode again after lowering, however, such actions can cause the device to break down due to overheating.

The dimensions are 135*53*24 millimeters. The model weighs 128 grams, taking into account the weight of the battery. Shock resistance: 1 meter. Level of protection against moisture – IP24.
