Description of the Fenix PD36R Pro RED flashlight:
The Fenix PD36R Pro flashlight is an improved version of the Fenix PD36R and is characterized by an impressive light brightness of up to 2800 lumens, which is almost 2 times the power of the base model. The device is designed based on modern Fenix APF (Advanced Pulse Frequency) technology. It allows you to avoid current limitation without negative consequences for the service life of the internal electronics and increase the performance of the flashlight to the maximum.
The white Luminus SFT70 LED generates bright light with a range of 380 meters. The diode's operating resource is about 50 thousand hours. The flashlight is powered by a 21700 Fenix ARB-L21 V2.0 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The battery is recharged using a charging cable that connects directly to the case with a built-in USB Type-C port. Charging time is 3 hours. If necessary, the battery from the kit can be replaced with one of the branded batteries: ARB-L21-5000U or ARB-L21-4000P.
The charging port is closed with a silicone plug to prevent water droplets and dust from getting inside. The charging process can be monitored using a color indicator that glows green or red depending on the battery charge level.
Operating modes
The Fenix PD36R Pro functionality is represented by 6 operating modes: 5 main modes with constant light for illuminating a large space or illuminating distant objects at long distances, as well as 1 flashing strobe mode that allows you to blind the enemy or give bright signals to others.
- Turbo: 2800 lumens – 380 meters – 3 hours 30 minutes;
- Maximum: 1000 lumens – 225 meters – 3 hours 55 minutes;
- Average: 350 lumens – 130 meters – 8 hours 15 minutes;
- Minimum: 150 lumens – 90 meters – 19 hours;
- Eco: 30 lumens – 40 meters – 42 hours;
- Strobe: 2500 lumens.
The model has a memory of the last used mode, so the next time it is activated, the user does not need to look for the light of the desired power again.
Control features
A pair of switches located in the tail part of the housing are intended for control. The buttons have different sizes and surfaces so that the user does not confuse them in the dark: a round tactical switch with a rough surface and a smooth oval functional switch.
- On/Off: press the tactical switch until it clicks.
- Momentary activation: half-press the tactical button.
- Change operating mode: press the functional switch.
- Momentary strobe: press the functional switch.
- Activate the strobe in constant mode: press the functional switch for 0.5 seconds. If pressed again, the constant light mode is activated.
Physical parameters
The housing is made of wear-resistant aluminum alloy A6061-T6, which is durable and resistant to mechanical stress. The metal does not deform during impacts and guarantees protection of internal electronics in the event of a fall of the flashlight from a height of about 1.5 meters. The housing is completely sealed - this is evidenced by the IP68 moisture protection class, which allows the device to be repeatedly immersed in water without threatening its performance.
A feature of the model - a bright red shade of the housing, which distinguishes the model from analogues in classic black. An addition in the form of a black clip allows you to attach the flashlight to clothing.
The dimensions of the housing are 145.8 x 26.5 x 25.7 millimeters. Weight including battery does not exceed 169 grams.
