Description of the Fenix TK20R UE hand-held flashlight, sand:
Law enforcement officers and military personnel need special lighting devices that can withstand high loads and at the same time illuminate long distances with high quality. Especially for this category of users, the Fenix brand has developed the TK20R UE flashlight, a compact model with a brightness of up to 2800 lumens when operating in Turbo mode.
The flashlight is equipped with one of the best LEDs on the modern market, the Luminus SFT70, with a service life exceeding 50 thousand hours. The color temperature of the beam is 6500K. The cold white light is characterized by an increased range, which in this model reaches almost half a kilometer.
The Fenix TK20R has several useful options. Among them is overheating protection. It is triggered whenever the case temperature rises to 60 C and instantly reduces the light output so that heating does not negatively affect the service life of the electronics. There is also a gradual decrease in brightness when the battery charge drops.
Operating modes
Two separate groups of modes are available for the user to choose from. The tactical group includes several basic lighting options: Turbo and a flashing strobe, which is designed to instantly disorient the enemy, and is also suitable for giving light signals. The service group includes four modes with constant lighting with a power of 30 lumens and above.

The specified operating time in Turbo mode takes into account the duration of the glow in modes with lower brightness, to which the flashlight switches due to activation of overheating protection.
Control features
The control system consists of a classic round button and a patented FlexiSensa rotary switch, which provides quick access to any of the light groups. Both switches are located at the tail of the flashlight, so they are easy to press / rotate with your thumb while holding the device.
- Instantaneous switching on of the flashlight: half-press the round button. It is enough to release the button for the flashlight to turn off again.
- On / off constant lighting: press the button until a characteristic click.
- Change the mode group: rotate the FlexiSensa switch.
- Change the operating mode: half-press the button. Before changing the mode, make sure that the desired mode group is selected.
When the flashlight is not in use, it can be locked to prevent the light from being activated if the control button is accidentally touched while transporting the model. To lock the lighting device, turn the FlexiSensa switch all the way to the right (the position is marked with a closed lock symbol). To unlock and turn on the flashlight, simply turn the switch to the left, selecting any lighting group. In this case, the light level that was working before the lock is activated.
Power source
Fenix TK20R UE is compatible with 21700 batteries with a voltage of 3.6 V. One battery of this type is sufficient for power. Access to the battery compartment is achieved by unscrewing the tail cover.
The kit already includes a branded ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery, designed specifically to power high-power devices. Instead, you can use ARB-L21-5000U, ARB-L21-4000P or batteries from other manufacturers, if the user is confident in their quality. It is worth considering that 18650, 16340 and CR123A batteries are not compatible with this model.
To simplify charging the battery, the manufacturer has built a USB Type-C charging port into the flashlight body. You need to slightly unscrew the head of the structure to expose the port and connect the appropriate cable to it, which can be found in the kit. The average charging time is 4 hours.
You can accurately determine the degree of charge using one indicator. At first, it lights up red, which changes to green when the amount of charge reaches the limit value.
Physical parameters
The Fenix TK20R UE case measures 153.7 x 34 x 25.4 millimeters. It is made of damage-resistant A6061-T6 aluminum with a premium anodized coating that protects the material from scratches. The metal has a number of advantages: it does not rust, cools quickly and resists deformation when hit on a hard surface after falling from a height of one and a half meters.
There is a rubber seal on the thread when unscrewing the tail cap. Thanks to it, liquid droplets and dust do not get inside the case. Dust and waterproof class IP68.
The lighting device weighing 135 grams can be attached to a belt, bag or pocket of clothing using a removable clip. The kit is also complemented by a hand lanyard and a branded case for more convenient storage of the flashlight.
The model is compatible with many Fenix accessories that increase its functionality: with ALG-00, ALG-16 M-Lok and ALG-18 mounts, with an ALR-01 tactical ring and an AER-05 remote button. The listed accessories are purchased separately.
