The Roxon KS2 multitool has extended functionality due to the presence of 14 separate elements, so it can be considered not only as an EDC model, but also a working tool for performing professional tasks. The portability of the design is another advantage of an accessory that can cope with basic tasks in the field, for example, at a picnic or during a hiking trip.

14 functions in one tool

The model is equipped with several full-size tools: a knife and scissors. The blade has a classic Drop Point shape and direct sharpening, which makes it a universal tool, relevant for cutting food, cutting ropes and cutting small branches. The scissors have handles of a comfortable length, so they do not slip out of your hand and do not press on the skin of your palm when cutting paper, cable and even dense materials such as rubber and leather.

The Roxon KS2 design also includes a number of small additions in the form of a jigsaw, a can opener, a bottle opener, a flat screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, a nail file and a ruler. They are easily removed from the handle with one hand and are fixed in the open position using a locking mechanism.

You can also find tweezers in the steel handle of the scissors, and on the side of the design on the blade side — broken glass with a hardness of 90 HRC, which allows you to break a house or car window in an emergency.

Strong materials in the design

The main tools are made of 5Cr15MoV stainless steel with a hardness of about 57-59 HRC. The metal with a high chromium content (15%) effectively resists oxidation and corrosion, therefore it retains its appearance and structure with regular contact with a humid environment, acids and oils. The main requirement: to monitor the cleanliness of the tools, regularly cleaning them from dirt and water droplets that may remain after use.

The material of the auxiliary elements is AISI 420 steel. It consists of three main elements: chromium (±13%), carbon (±0.30%) and iron (about 84%). This combination allows for increased resistance of the metal to rust and extreme temperatures.

The handle has a pair of G10 fiberglass overlays — a hard composite based on fiberglass. The material is resistant to mechanical stress, withstands impacts when dropped, and minimizes slipping in the palm of the hand.

High portability and light weight

The handle thickness is 20 millimeters, which, combined with the rough overlays, ensures a comfortable hold of the multitool in the hand during operation. The dimensions of the model when unfolded reach 137.6 x 95 millimeters, but when folded, this value is reduced to 86.5 x 25.6 millimeters, so the multitool fits freely in the pocket of a backpack or clothes.

To facilitate transportation, the Roxon KS2 design includes a clip. Together with it, the weight of the multitool is 125.1 grams. The clip can be removed by first unscrewing the screw.
