KONUS Konusmall-2 7-17x30 — compact zoom monocular with a dual focusing system and a tripod socket. When working at a magnification of up to 10-12x, mounting the device on a tripod is not required, but at high magnifications it will allow you to stabilize the image that shakes due to hand vibration.
The main optical surfaces of the Konusmall-2 7-17x30 monocular are illuminated with several layers of specially selected coatings. The illumination significantly improves light transmission at the glass/air interface, thanks to which the formed image is contrasting and bright.
At the selected magnification (from 7x to 17x), focusing occurs in 2 stages. Coarse focusing is carried out by extending the lens, and fine focusing is carried out by turning the ring on the lens. At low magnifications, the diameter of the monocular's exit pupil is comfortable for long-term observation, but at very high magnifications, you will have to periodically interrupt the observation to give your eyes a rest.
The model's body is made of anodized metal with an anti-slip "droplet" coating on the retractable parts. For ease of adjustment of the device, the focusing and magnification adjustment rings have non-removable rubber pads with a transverse relief. The eyepiece is equipped with a retractable rubber eyecup, the eyepiece lens and the outer lens of the objective are protected by FLY-UP rubber caps (removable).
There are practically no restrictions on the use of the device (except for extreme weather conditions). Due to the large number of moving elements, it is almost impossible to seal the monocle body, so immersing the device in water is strictly not recommended. However, it is well protected from falling splashes, so a short stay in the rain will not harm the optics.
