The extremely convenient and compact focusing system is the main difference and advantage of the Opticron T4 Trailfinder monoculars. A small lever in the central part of the body allows you to hold the monocular with one hand and focus on the image, which is not very convenient to do with the traditional focusing system on the eyepiece. In addition, the device remains compact, unlike monoculars with an external focusing drum.
The Opticron T4 Trailfinder 8x25 WP monocular has excellent optical and operational characteristics for its price category. The image quality is ensured by the full multi-layer illumination of the optics and a prism made of high-quality BAK4 optical glass, the wide field of view and extremely short minimum focusing distance are due to the well-thought-out layout of the optical elements, and the high level of protection is ensured by the hermetic aluminum housing with a rubber coating and nitrogen filling from the inside.
It is also nice that the manufacturer included eyepiece and lens caps in the package and equipped the monocular with a retractable eyepiece frame, which is a rarity for compact optical devices.
