Nasopharyngeal tubes are recommended for use as an auxiliary airway in patients who are semi-conscious or unconscious. The nasopharyngeal tube is better held during patient transport and is better tolerated than the oropharyngeal tube because it does not cause strong gag reflexes. Packaged in sterile packaging.
