Description of the Ganzo G6805 knife, gray:
The Ganzo G6805 model is a universal knife that is equally effective as an EDC tool and a blade for tourist purposes. This knife has an easy-to-care folding design that can be discreetly carried in a pocket of clothing, a backpack, or stored in the glove compartment of a car in case of emergency.
The blade of the G6805 model has one of the most common forms among drop point folding knives. Thanks to the high descents, the knife is quickly sharpened, while the user does not need special skills in this matter. The blade length is 86 millimeters, and the thickness is 2.8 millimeters.
The blade material is 8Cr14MoV steel, which is hardened to a value of 57 HRC. This is a budget brand, which, despite its affordability, is characterized by resistance to wear and rust. The metal acquired these qualities due to the high content of chromium and carbon: the first makes the steel resistant to corrosion, and the second increases its strength, allowing the tool to be used in complex tasks where high loads cannot be avoided.
The sharp blade of the Ganzo g6805 is held by the Liner lock of the classic locking mechanism, which is often used in EDC knives due to its ease of use. The blade is locked using a liner, a steel plate that prevents the tool from folding at an unexpected moment.
The manufacturer took care of the ergonomics of the knife and supplemented its handle with fiberglass (G10) gray overlays. They are attached to the structure with a pair of screws and have a rough surface so that the model does not slip out of the hand during use. The length of the handle is 112 millimeters and is suitable for owners of palms of any size.
The G6805 design weighs only 105 grams, so it is minimally felt in a bag or pocket of clothing while being worn. A steel clip is designed to fix the knife on a pocket or belt, the position of which can be changed based on the personal preferences of the owner. There is a small through hole in the tail of the tool. A lanyard can be threaded through it as a decorative element or additional security for the tool so that it does not fall out of the hand during shock loads.
