Instructions for use:

Plastic stretchers can be used in evacuation in the traditional way, carrying the stretchers by the handles (three handles on both sides and one at the ends), or use them as stretchers, dragging them on the ground or snow, like a sled.

Application:

• Assess the condition of the victim. Before using, make sure that the person is safe and needs medical assistance.
• Prepare the stretchers. Assign enough people to transport the casualty safely and effectively.
• Unfold the stretcher. Unfold it on a flat surface, making sure it is flat and free of creases.
• Place the casualty on the stretcher.
• Secure the casualty. This can be done with straps or restraints to prevent the casualty from shifting during transport.
• Transport the casualty. The carriers should carefully lift the stretcher and carry the person, supporting their back and neck, to the point of medical assistance or where they will receive further treatment.

If the stretcher is used as a drag, the casualty’s arms should be secured with straps around the chest or abdomen to reduce the width of the body. Four straps are provided to secure the casualty on the stretcher. The casualty’s head should not be tilted back during transfer. To prevent the handle tape from cutting into your hand, a frost-resistant PVC tube is placed on it, which does not crack at low temperatures. The plastic material is also resistant to low temperatures. The compact size of the stretcher and its low weight allow it to be attached to equipment, for example, at the bottom of a backpack.
