HyFin Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack from North American Rescue is a modern first aid tool for penetrating chest wounds and developing pneumothorax. The design of the HyFin Vent Chest Seal provides three ventilated channels that prevent air from entering the chest cavity at the same time as allowing it to exit the wound. They are also designed to evacuate blood and fluid from the wound. The three vent channels provide a fail-safe backup system, since even if two of the three channels are blocked, the vent hole will remain fully functional. Advanced adhesion technology ensures easy and reliable adhesion of the Hyfin Vent Chest Seal occlusive film even on sweaty, bloody or hairy skin. The package consists of two films, each in a separate sealed bag, to cover the entrance and exit wound channels. Both packages are fastened together and fold in half for easy storage in a first aid kit. Each patch also includes a gauze pad for wiping the wound surface before application. Each also has a large Red-Tip lever that allows for quick removal of the patch. The transparent backing provides easy placement over the wound.
