Konus KONUSPRO 3-9x40 – universal budget riflescope with variable magnification of 3-9x and medium-diameter objective. The model has quite modest dimensions for an optical riflescope and weighs only 399 g. Another advantage of this riflescope – wide field of view. For example, a similar model KONUSPRO 3-10x44 with a larger objective diameter has a smaller viewing angle at the corresponding magnification.
The reticle is engraved in the second focal plane on a "shatterproof" glass lens. The vertical axis of the reticle contains a set of aiming points for shooting at distances up to 250 m (275 yards); a marking is applied horizontally to correct the lateral displacement of the point of impact. This type of ballistic reticle is especially convenient when shooting with short-barreled muzzle-loading weapons.
The permissible range of corrections for this model is 51 MOA, the value of the adjustment mechanism division is 1/4 MOA. The adjustment drums are turned manually, and after adjustment are closed with aluminum caps.
The KONUSPRO 3-9x40 scope is designed for installation on weapons of caliber up to .308 inclusive, stably withstands a recoil of 3500 J. The shock-resistant waterproof body of the scope is filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging of the lenses.
