EW includes tasks such as interference, interception, reconnaissance, protection and concealment from the enemy. To achieve these tasks, various technical means are used, such as jammers, interceptors, radio reconnaissance and counterintelligence complexes, radio blasting and radio protection systems.
Modern EW systems usually have a large arsenal of technical means and functions that allow them to implement various tasks in the conditions of modern electronic warfare. They can operate both in standalone mode and as part of general information and combat systems using network technologies.
EW is constantly developing and improving in order to adapt to changes in radio communications technologies and enemy electronic warfare, as well as to ensure effective protection and support of combat operations. Since the radio frequency spectrum is an important resource in modern military operations, EW remains an integral part of the electronic component of a modern combat system.
