The PGD-MICH is an ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet) helmet, similar to the helmet used by the US Army and others. It is designed as a low-cut helmet so that you get the best protection on the side of your head. Similar to the ARCH, only with a low cut, you get an extremely durable Kevlar-aramid helmet designed to withstand the latest and greatest threats.
The PGD MICH is made of Kevlar-aramid fiber from Dupont and has been tested to the American standard NIJ 0106.01 for ballistic helmets against ballistic threats according to NIJ std 0101.08 and NIJ std 0101.06 . 44 Magnum, .357 SIG and 9mm FMJ.
The MICH helmet has been tested for V50 according to STANAG2920, which is the NATO standard for bulletproof materials. The test shows the ability of the helmet to stop fragments and debris, where the helmet can stop 17 grains at 660-680 M/S.
As standard, the PGD MICH helmet has a PGD buckle system using premium materials from BOA, ITW Nexus and Duraflex.
The BOA Fit system securely fastens the helmet to the head and allows for easy adjustment with a twist knob. Thanks to BOA Fit, this helmet provides an unbeatable fit. In addition, the fixation system is adjusted to the size of the user's head using four Duraflex plastic buckles, which ensures a comfortable and tight fit.
The front cover is compatible with Wilcox G24 and similar mounts. The side rails are made according to the NATO standard for Picatinny, making them compatible with 3m Peltor, Sordin, Ops-core AMP, Earmor and Unity Tactical headset adapters.
MICH helmet test characteristics:
• NIJ Standard 0106.01 with threats IIIA 0101.06: .44 magnum and .357 SIG.
• NIJ Standard 0106.01 with threats IIIA 0108.01: .44 magnum and 9 mm FMJ.
• V50 STANAG 2920: 660-680 m/s
• Reduced back face deformation (BFD) by 50% compared to 9 mm (HPW-TP-0401.01B IIIA)
MICH helmet specifications:
• The inside of the helmet is padded with our 10-cushion memory foam, which can be adjusted as needed.
• The helmet can be fastened and adjusted with the BOA-FIT system.
