The Kiborg apron provides additional protection for the groin area from shrapnel, ricochets, and gunshots by using Class 2 ballistic protection from Militex. The apron is attached using Velcro panels.
It protects not only the groin area, but also the femoral artery.
The basis is a ballistic package of the 2nd protection class. This level of protection is intended for protection against fragments, blast waves and bullets of caliber 7.62×25 mm.
The ballistic package is the latest practice in military protection around the world.
Material for making Militex bags:
- Ultra-high-density polyethylene (UHMWPE), which is considered the best choice for manufacturing ballistic protection and is characterized by the most stable quality;
- Synthetic non-woven material (Kevlar) as an additional damper that reduces extra-obstructive trauma;
- Cover made of high-quality waterproof fabric - 100% nylon 170g/m2 with thermoplastic polyurethane coating. Sealing - ultrasound, which firmly holds the edges of the armor package and ensures its reliability and quality.
The case itself (where this ballistic bag is placed) is made of CORDURA 1000d material - a super-durable fabric that is resistant to abrasion and high loads, so you don't have to worry about it getting worn out when walking or making other movements while performing combat missions.
We also test our Class 2 ballistic packages according to international NATO STANAG V-50 standards, where the penetration rate is exactly +-733 m/s. In addition to bullets and fragments specified in DSTU and STANAG, it protects against small fragments and secondary impact elements.
The plate carrier is attached to the apron using a Velcro panel located on top of the apron. The attachment allows you to fix the apron to any plate carrier or body armor. The plate carrier can also be purchased from us. There is a molle system in front for attaching additional equipment at the operator's request.
All slings are 100% polyamide.
