Description of the Fenix ARE-A2 charger:
The Fenix company is known, first of all, for high-quality LED flashlights, but all related accessories of this brand are also in great demand. The Fenix ARE-A2 charger is one of such accessories. It is made universal and is able to work with batteries of various formats and types. This model is suitable for charging batteries for any Fenix branded flashlight, as well as for many other portable electrical appliances.
Fenix ARE-A2 works with batteries with lithium-ion electrolyte (formats 18650, 14500, 21700, 10440, 16340, 26650), nickel-metal hydride and nickel-cadmium (formats AA, AAA, C). You can charge 2 batteries at the same time, which are installed in completely independent cells. At the same time, the user can charge a pair of absolutely identical batteries or different batteries. In any case, the device will independently diagnose them and select the best charging mode. The user can monitor the process using the built-in display. Information on it is also displayed separately for each channel, and you can switch display modes using two buttons at the bottom of the screen. The user can see the current status, battery type, its voltage, and full charge time. If the user wants to turn off the display, just press the button once and hold it for a while before releasing it. Another short press turns the screen back on.
The Fenix ARE-A2 comes with a cable for connecting the device to a regular electrical outlet. This model has a car battery charging function, which can be connected using a suitable cable through the cigarette lighter. There is no such cable in the basic kit, but it can be purchased separately.
The Fenix ARE-A2 weighs only 178 g, which is very convenient for travelers. The dimensions of the device are also small. It is 149 mm in length, 75 mm in width and only 40.5 mm in height. This model operates in a wide range of temperature and humidity, which increases the reliability of its operation. In addition, it has a built-in multi-stage protection mechanism that prevents short circuits due to incorrect installation of batteries sideways, overheating and overcharging of any compatible batteries.
